V2Media technical specification

All advertising forms will be emitted with sound switched off as default according to IAB Poland’s display advertising standards. Creative should be sent on traffic@v2media with order number attached. All ads should be sent by e-mail to traffic@v2media.pl. Adding the order ID will help avoid any mistakes and makes segregation easier. Landing page URL (on which the user will be directed to after clicking the ad) should be provided along with the creative.

Vstitial is a fullscreen, non-stream way of emitting tv spots on the internet. It consists of a multimedia file and a multimedia player made by V2Media using flash technology.

Video area occupies the central space of the player and its size depends on video format. Width of video area is fixed at 640 px. Height is determined by format of video ad. Video area is positioned in relation to the top of the browser, horizontal it is always positioned at the center of the browser, vertical it is positioned variable and determined in the 50-150 px.

*it is possible to emit campaign without this element. In that case the background is filled with any color from HTML pallet. Defaulted background is black.

Videostitial is a fullscreen, non-stream way of emitting tv spots on the internet. It consists of a multimedia file and player made by V2Media using flash technology.

Player adjusts video size to the browser window. Proportions of video do not change. Adjustment to the browser window may depend on height or width of the browser window. Adjustment method is clients choice, although adjusting video height to browser window height is defaulted.

Control buttons (pause, volume, progress bar, close) in Videostitial can’t be switched off, nor moved. Also V2Media logo placed in top left corner of the player is unmovable.

User can initiate emission of full-screen Vstitial after moving cursor on video area. Player is positioned in relation to right bottom corner of the browser window, and could be slightly move.

V2 Scroll is a non-layer ad form, that occupies hall width of the browser, through which the user may initiate emission of the Vstitial or Videostitial ad form*. This form is positioned on the top or bottom of the browser, attached to its top or bottom edge. Client can choose between these two options of positioning. V2Scroll emits without the sound, however after interaction with video, it expands to Vstitial or Videostitial form that is displayed with defaulted switched on sound. *depends on chosen option

Creation consists of a video, located on the left side, and on the right side there’s a space for the graphic material that can be created in flash format.

Video area dimensions: 124×70px
Flash format area dimensions: 800×70px

Flash made part must be as simple as possible - which means that all animations on the text, images, vector elements are permitted. It’s not allowed to use classes of transformation, the movements - neither those built-in Flash nor external engine like TweenLite, TweenMax, Caurina.

For V2Scroll customer should provide us a video of the same characteristics as in Vstitial. V2Scroll version of the video spot may be different than full screen video spot.

Creation consist of video material placed on the left side of doublebillboard and static part (graphic file) placed on the right side of the ad form.

Elements’ dimensions depends on video proportions, 2 options possible:
Video proportions 16:9 or similar:
350×196 (video) and 396×196 (static part)
Video proportions 4:3 or similar:
261×196 (video) and 485×196 (static part)

Static part format:
should not exceed 50kb
file format: png, gif, jpg or swf

V2Rectangle is a non-layer ad form, of dimensions 300x250px, that allows to emit video spots on the Internet. V2Rectangle consists of a multimedia file and player made by V2Media using flash technology, through which the user may initiate emission of the Vstitial or Videostitial ad form* Creation consists of a video, located on the upper side of the form, and static graphic space on the bottom side of the form.

The form is surrounded by uneditable frame (width 2px) with central-progressive partial transparency.

Elements’ dimensions depends on video proportions, 2 options possible:
Video proportions 16:9 or similar:
300×169px (video) and 300×81px (static part)
Video proportions 4:3 or similar:
300×225 (video) and 300×25 (static part)

Static part format:
should not exceed 50kb
file format: png, gif, jpg or swf

Preroll is a short ad spot displayed before the requested video content or flash engine games. Pre-roll measurements depends on the website and its player.
Maximum duration time of such spot: 15-30 seconds
Accepted file formats: wmv, avi, qt, mpeg, mov
Minimum resolution: 350×240 px
The File will the converted to flv format and compressed so that it won't exceed 1MB. In addition, a landing page URL should be prepared, one to which users will be directed to upon clicking the ad.

Overlay is an ad form that is placed on the layar during emission of the video material. Overlay is emitted over indicated video material that is displayed on the player. Close Button will be added automatically in the right corner.
File format: swf (to version 9), jpg, png
Resolution: 520×70 px
Maximum size: 30KB.

V2Media converts any video format to our technology in price of campaign. It is only required to send us video file or upload it to our company ftp server (avalible for request). File can be also shared in any other proposed way, it’s up to client. File will be converted to flv format (up to 2 MB) with best possible quality. Sent video (before conversion) can have any resolution, but should not be smaller than 640px width.

Billboard is non layer ad form emitted usually on the top central part of the website. Clicking on the billboard links to the indicated website.
Standard measurements:
Billboard: 750×100 px
DoubleBillboard: 750×200 px
TripleBillboard: 750×300 px
Maximal size: 50KB.

Video area in Vstitial can be branded using transparent png file (skin). It will be impose on the video (need to have transparent space over video area). Over the skin we put control buttons (progress bar, closing button, volume control etc.) and half transparent V2Media logo (placed on the top left corner of the player). Maximal size of the Skin is 1280×700 px and 150 kB of weight. All animations on the text, images, vector elements are permitted. It’s not allowed to use classes of transformation, the movements - neither those built-in Flash nor external engine like TweenLite, TweenMax, Caurina.

Video area measurements depends on video proportions with fixed 640px width. For example:
16:9 - 640×360px
4:3 - 640x480px

Video area is positioned in relation to the top of the browser, horizontal it is always positioned at the center of the browser, vertical it is positioned variable and determined in the 50-150 x

Expand player can be branded with special skin. It is placed over video area. Skin position over player can be arbitrarily change. It should be prepared with the transparent area over video spot. Skin may have irregular shape. It may also partially cover the video area. All animations on the text, images, vector elements are permitted. It’s not allowed to use classes of transformation, the movements - neither those built-in Flash nor external engine like TweenLite, TweenMax, Caurina.

Closing button and the speaker icon is integral part of the form. They are placed above the video window, can be moved vertically up to 150px from the video player window. Closing button and speaker icon are uneditable.

As an option Skin can be clickable. For the Skin in shape of rectangle we only need an URL on which click will link. In case of irregular skin shape, to make it clickable its obligatory to:
1)Import transparent graphic file in .png to the flash
2)Trace imported graphic and remove background (which is transparent anyway), so that only indicated shape remains.
3)Lay solid color over traced graphic
4)Fill the same uniform graphic with the bitmap (fill with the imported graphic)
5)Set Gradient Transform Tool [F key] so that in the shape (traced) hall imported graphic would be visible.
6)cut hole in the shape for the video player (transparent object can’t cover clickable functions of the player)

Player is positioned in relation to the right bottom of the browser, it’s possible to move it slightly.

Optionally it’s possible to add progress bar for the movie created by V2Media.
Video area proportions depends on video format:
for proportions 4:3 are 247x330px
for proportions 16:9 are 185x330px

Maximal Skin size: 750×400
File format: png / gif / swf without active buttons etc.

Download properly prepared example of creation

Vstitial and Videostital can be emitted with Side Panel with buttons. Each button links to any user-defined www address. Default panel has 5 buttons: Nasza-Klasa, Blip, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Client can select any of them or add his own. For each button we can assign any URL. Social media panel is optional (in price of campaign). To set Social media panel please contact traffic@v2media.pl

In case of external adservers counting codes it’s possible to use any standard Java Script codes or 3rd Party Pixel codes (img). Depending on the form of creation, we can count its individual elements, such as Expand, Vstitial and Billboard. In case of any doubts or question relating to the measuring codes please contact traffic@v2media.pl

It is possibile to measure viewing statistics of Vstitial/Videostitial. Default we measure number of unique users which has viewed beginning, middle and end of the video spot. It’s also possible to set 3 different measuring points in any selected part of the video spot. For this purpose please contact traffic@v2media.pl
